Trying to read a crochet pattern for the first time can make you wonder if it’s even in English sometimes. In this class, we’ll review all the different abbreviations, punctuation, and review all the information the designer is assuming you already know. By using a simple granny square for inspiration, we will learn how to break down a written pattern into pieces as well as how to read the chart that goes along with it.
Experience: Advanced Beginner, must know, ch, sc, dc, and knowing how to crochet in the round would be helpful.
Materials: Any weight yarn and hook that you are comfortable with. Feel free to bring a few colors if you like.
Taught by Kate Steinke
Class Fee: $40
