NEED FOR SPEED: CONTINENTAL STYLE KNIT STITCH PLUS 3 WAYS TO PURl (K)
February 9, 2019 10:30am - 12:30pm
Try your (left) hand at continental style knitting and discover why it’s thought by many knitters to be the fastest way to knit. In addition to the knit stitch, we’ll practice purling in non-traditional, Norwegian, and Scottish styles. Transitioning between knitting styles guarantees changing tension, so students will create swatches or imperfect but functional dishcloths.
Materials:1 ball Worsted or DK weight cotton yarn and needles to match (perhaps 100 yards used). 2 stitch markers.
Skills Prerequisite: Adept at knitting and purling, some experience following a pattern helpful but not required.
Class Skill Level: Advanced beginner - intermediate
