Knitting on the bias means tilting your fabric at an angle, creating a diagonal drape instead of just straight up and down. A great way to knit scarves and a perfect approach to unusual yarns, this method lets the yarn be the star. You will learn increases and decreases and how to keep track of where they belong.
Skill needed: Students should be comfortable knitting and purling.
Materials: 1 skein of worsted weight yarn to practice the stitches, needle 1 to 2 sizes up from what the yarn calls for, two stitch markers.
