2017 was an incredible success, with over 3,000 Special Olympic scarves were handed out February 4th at the Opening Ceremonies and Victory Dance!

The 2018 Scarf theme is “Every scarf will be as unique as the athlete who receives it.” Scarves will have only one main color this year, black. Please compliment the black with at least 2 additional colors of your choice. The common thread of black in each scarf will signify that it is the scarf for 2018, but it will be enriched with many other colors. Scarf dimensions are approximately 6 inches wide by 60. Scarves can be made in any pattern and can be knitted, woven, or crocheted. These scarves are a beloved part of the event and mean a great deal to the athletes. Gauge has a list of specific yarns that we carry at a variety of price points and are happy to help you select your yarn for this wonderful project! Don't know what pattern you want to knit or crochet? Gauge has come up with a few different ideas for the scarves, just ask us for our Special Olympic Scarf recommendations.
