Have you admired our crochet bedecked dress form? You too can break free from the confines of rigid pattern instructions and create unique art! While crocheting motifs, you will learn textural stitches such as bullion and puff plus ways to join them together. We'll delve into color theory and practice developing color schemes from source material or stash. You will leave ready to decorate any surface!

Skill Level: Beginner - Advanced

Knowledge Needed: Comfortable with basic crochet stitches such as: Single, Double, and Slip Stitches.

Student supplies: A vivid imagination plus a selection of assorted yarns that are “ready to use” (do not need to be wound into balls). Crochet hooks in assorted sizes suited to the yarn they’ve brought, including 1 old school plain aluminum hook (without comfort grip) size E or F. Scissors or snips. A large tapestry needle, plus a removable stitch marker or safety pin. Pencil and eraser to take notes.

Optional supplies: Styrofoam form to cover plus straight pins. 1 DPN size 2 or smaller (do not purchase if you do not already own! I will have alternative tools for you)

OPTIONAL Homework: If you feel you need a creative jumpstart, find and bring an image with an inspiring color scheme from a magazine, book, or photograph. Bring yarns to work with that match this image.

Class Fee: $40
