Learn to crochet lace and read a charted crochet pattern. Those little symbols all have meaning and actually draw a picture of what the pattern will look like. This crochet version of the beloved feather and fan pattern is a great starting project. This project is perfect for anyone who has a basic grasp of crochet, but wants to expand their skills.
Skills needed: must know how to crochet (chain, single crochet, familiar with double or triple crochet).
Materials: copy of the free pattern from Ravelry: Lacey Feather and Fan Wrap, sport weight yarn or light DK - sample is made with Uluru using a US D hook. You may want to use a small amount of smooth yarn in class just for practice.
